CHALLENGE:

Due to the high costs of energy consumption, the company wanted to conduct a comprehensive energy audit that would cover all key consumers at the location, including production, and provide suggestions and guidelines for reducing final energy consumption.

SOLUTION:

We conducted a comprehensive energy audit of the Gorenje company location in Velenje, where, based on visits, our own measurements, analyses and working meetings, potentials and guidelines for increasing energy efficiency were identified. The identified potentials were given by taking into account the synergy between individual systems, which gave the client a comprehensive energy picture of opportunities to reduce final energy consumption, utilize industrial waste heat and consequently reduce energy costs.

EMPHASIS:

The energy audit provided a comprehensive energy picture of opportunities and directions for increasing energy efficiency with identified potentials for reducing final energy consumption, which took into account the synergy between individual systems and technology.

“ENEKOM, as part of the energy audit, provided us with clear recommendations and guidelines for optimizing energy use, which we at Gorenje d. o. o. actively consider and include in further energy activities.”

Sandi Vitanc, Energy Manager, Gorenje Household Appliances, d.o.o.

Based on measurements of the cooling capacity of the cooling towers and a comprehensive analysis of the plant’s energy flows, an improvement proposal was made to reduce energy consumption by 1.6 GWh.

An inspection of compressed air leaks was also carried out using an ultrasonic camera, which provided a potential for reducing energy consumption of 190 MWh.
