At the central Slovenian event in the field of energy – the 27th Energy Days, Gregor Kustec, director of ENEKOM, was among the speakers.
ENEKOM was actively involved in the 27th Energy Days, the central Slovenian professional event for energy managers, industry representatives and researchers. The common thread of this year’s conference was efficiency, flexibility and resilience as one of the key factors for competitiveness.
Gregor Kustec, CEO of ENEKOM, participated as a speaker at the round table as part of the panel “The Future of Energy Audits”. Together with representatives of the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy and the “Jožef Stefan” Institute, he presented experiences, challenges and opportunities in the field of implementation and digitalization of energy audits.
Among other things, he pointed out: “The energy audit is the most important element for taking action. If companies carry it out because the audit is required by regulations, there will be no real result.”
The event covered a wide range of topics, from sustainable industrial transformation, efficient energy use in buildings, sustainable reporting, to examples of good practices from the domestic and international environment.
“With a comprehensive energy audit, we find areas of operation that can be optimized. An analytical review often reveals details that are otherwise not visible. It can show more suitable technology for carrying out processes, the importance of switching off machines/devices and the importance of operating machines. Operation outside peak tariff times will also be increasingly important”
